Bedtime Shouldn't Feel Like a Battle Every Single Night

You've tried the sticker charts. The calm voice. The consequences. Some nights it works. Most nights you're both in tears by 8pm, and you're left wondering what you're doing wrong. You're not doing anything wrong. Your kid isn't broken, and neither are you.

What Families Bring to Their First Session

Every family that walks through our door is carrying something different, but the exhaustion sounds the same.

The meltdowns that come out of nowhere, or seem to

A kid who's suddenly angry, shut down, or clingy in ways that feel new

Homework fights that turn into full-blown shutdowns

A teacher's note that says "we need to talk"

Lying awake wondering if this is a phase, or something more

Nothing is wrong with your child. And nothing is wrong with you for needing help figuring this out.

What Changes With Family Therapy

Here's what families tell us changes, over time:

Mornings and evenings that don't end in shouting

A kid who can name what they're feeling instead of just exploding

Fewer calls from school

A parent who feels like they know what to do, instead of guessing

A house that feels calmer, even on the hard days

A kid who starts to trust that their feelings make sense

These are the shifts families tend to see. Every child moves at their own pace, and this isn't a promise, just what's possible. Most families meet weekly, in 45-minute sessions, together or one-on-one depending on the week.

You're not looking for someone to hand your child a worksheet and call it done. You're looking for someone who will actually get to know your kid, and get to know you too.

I'm Claire, and I've spent my career learning that kids don't change in isolation. They change when the people around them understand them differently.

How can I support you

I offer personalized therapy tailored to you specific needs and goals.

01

Child Anxiety Therapy

For the kid who worries more than seems fair for their age, or has started avoiding school, friends, or things they used to love.

02

ADHD & Behavioral Therapy

For the kid whose behavior is louder than their words, and the parent who's run out of consequences to try.

03

Social Skills Therapy

For the kid who struggles to make friends, read a room, or handle a "no" without falling apart.

04

Big Life Transitions

For the kid whose world just changed, a divorce, a move, a new sibling, and who's struggling to find their footing again.

"I came in thinking she needed to be fixed. Claire helped me see she just needed to be understood, and so did I."

— J.M., parent of an 8-year-old

My Approach to Child and Family Therapy

I don't believe in fixing kids. I believe in helping them (and the parents raising them) understand what's actually going on underneath the behavior.

Sessions run 45 minutes, and most families start weekly. Depending on what's going on, we might meet with your child alone, with you and your child together, or split time between the two. I'll always tell you why.

FAQs

Does my child really need therapy, or will they grow out of this?

Some things are phases. Some aren't. If it's been going on for a while, or it's affecting school, friendships, or your home life, it's worth a conversation. You don't need to wait for a crisis.

How long are sessions?

45 minutes. Some weeks with your child, some with both of you, depending on what's most useful.

We tried therapy before and it didn't help.

That happens more than people think. Sometimes it's timing, sometimes it's fit. I'll ask about what didn't work before so we don't repeat it.

Do you take insurance?

[Insurance / fee details go here.]

What actually happens in the first session?

We talk. I get to know your child in a way that doesn't feel like an interview, and I get to hear from you about what's been going on at home.

You don't have to keep guessing.

If something feels off with your kid, or with how things feel at home, let's talk about it. No pressure, just a conversation.
